So Thursday night we carved our big pumpkin that Grandma Teri and Grandpa Wes brought us home from their vacation. We spent the evening carving the pumpkin, watching the Colorado/Boston game, and eating whopper milkshakes that Tob whipped up. All in all pretty good evening. Alexyss has been begging for the past week to carve pumpkins. I am glad we did it that night because Tob got was dispatched to California (San Diego area) friday morning. He was going to take the day off to help me get yard sale stuff ready for Saturday and then got a call at 9am and was gone by 1045. Should be gone for about 2 1/2 weeks. Huh, so much for spending the weekend with him. Oh yes you are all probably wondering why I said yard sale. A friend and I had a brilliant idea to have a yard sale this morning in her barn so actually a barn sale. It was roughly 15 degrees outside while we were setting up. The sale started at 8, we got our first customer at 1037 and then our second and third customer around noon when we decided to bag it. So maybe this isn't a great time to yard sale. Oh well the kids got to play, I made $7, and we had a great time visiting inside by her fire.

These are the best pictures! Somehow I missed this post. What a great pumpkin. Tell the kids I really really like it. I told Tim that it looks particularly good at night ;) I'm sorry Toby had to leave. At least he didn't have to be there earlier. It doesn't sound like a pleasant place to be right now. I really feel for the folks involved. Makes me feel blessed and grateful for what I have.
Dawn,
Karen said you felt blog neglected. I loved looking at your blog. Here's my pathetic little post. I don't know if me posting a comment is all that impressive but here goes...I'm terrible at reading blogs...but I looked at the pictures. Great pumpkin! I love the picture of you and the kids. It looks like your about to stab your pumpkin...nice! Oh by the way you have such a beautiful smile. I guess it's genetic. I will email you the pic I have from Sarah's wedding soon.
That is so funny Tracey! You really don't have to feel obligated to read my blog if you don't want too, but of course you are welcome to join in. Thanks for the recruiting Karen. Thanks for emailing the photo I can't wait to see it.
