Memorial Day Weekend

Happy Memorial Day weekend! Let me first say thank you to all of those who have, are, and will serve our country! We are blessed to live where we do and have the freedom that we have! Thank you!!

This weekend we were able to go camping with my family. Generally Tob doesn't get to go with us but this time he did. It was great fun! I love any extra moments I get to spend with that man. I mean who wouldn't check out those shades! He's hot! This is how we spent our weekend..............

Drinking soda pop in the hammock (cream soda, what a treat!)

Mountain biking on some old trails/roads tob helped build years ago when he was working in trails.

Tob crossing "his" bridge. Apparently this bridge and another were built by Tob and 2 others by hand and hand made tools. Very proud of their work!

Enjoying the hammock, whether there was 1 of us or 4 of us in it at a time.

Eating the scrumptious food!

Sharing hugs and laughs.

Playing baseball. Look at my mom in her ready position. NICE!

and my dad in action. Nice hustle!

We also managed to get in some motorcycling. Zoe (12) learned to ride on her own this year and did great. The weather was fabulous and the company great. Looking forward to more memories next year!

Take me out to the ball game.......

Well it's baseball season again. Nojah is playing minors this year and is enjoying the increased pace of the game as are we. They have a young team this year but are doing really well, learning a lot, and improving daily.

Alexyss is playing her 2nd year of t-ball/coach pitch and has improved so much from last year. Between assisting coaching with Lex's team and Nojah's games being on opposite days of hers we pretty much live at the ball park. At least the weather has improved the last week or so. That helps.

On a side note Alexyss has been home the past 2 days with pink eye which has caused Tob to lose out on 2 days of work and me some precious sleep, but it's improving. We are in hopes of not contracting it ourselves by the end of it. Well we are off to camp for the weekend and I hope all of you have an enjoyable sunny memorial day weekend.

Our sun shiney weekend

They just make me SO proud!

Playing in the woods on Mothers day.

Hi mom....

Lex taking a rest.

Myah actually listening when we told her to come. I think by the look of her nose she was digging, just a guess though.

We had a great family & friend filled weekend. Friday was Toby's birthday! After he got off of work we had dinner, ate cake, opened presents, and went for a walk. I have to think I am the luckiest girl alive for having that wonderful man. I can't imagine my life without him!
On Saturday the kids went to Grandma and Grandpa's while Tob and I went mountain biking outside of Echo. It was great to play on some new trails and spend time together. After we got back I spent the afternoon with my wonderful girlfriends and their babies. They are such great moms and I cherish the times we do get to spend together although it never seems like enough. After visting with the girls we squeezed Mothers day dinner in at my parents house with my mom, grandma, and brother. My mom (bless her heart) made all of us dinner and it turned out SO yummy. Then we went for a walk and the kids joined us on their bikes. We didn't get home until 11 pm after shopping but it was a GOOD day.
This morning for Mothers day the kids gave me gifts, Tob made breakfast and then we went out to play in the woods. We took the opportunity to start working on our mountain bike trail. We probably got about a mile or more cut out and cleaned up. We can't wait to have something near home to ride. It's a big project though and I am sure will take most of the summer. Now I need to finish getting the kids to bed. Just pulled a tick out of Nojah and looking forward to seeing what I accumulated for the day. Time for books! Hope everyone had a good weekend and enjoyed the sunshine. Happy Mothers Day to all you hardworking mom's out there!

April showers bring May flowers!

Well, it's definitely spring time! Today I watched the sun shine, the wind blow, the hail fall, the snow fly, and the rain drop. The weather continued to change about every 30 minutes through out the day. Spring is here!

It's official he's 9

Yesterday Nojah turned 9. He had 4 friends, Grandma Teri, Grandpa Wes, Great Grandma Dru and Great Grandma & Grandpa Turner come to celebrate the day. The game plan was to play wiffle ball and or football, except it happened to RAIN all afternoon, so they played inside for a couple hours. We had cake (compliments of Toby the chef, who so kindly had 2 cakes made when I came home from work yesterday morning) banana splits, pretzels, apples, and chips and dips that grandparents brought :0) He received a lot of cool gifts and cards and loved them all. After everyone left the SUNSHINE came out and we went to the ball field and played baseball for the rest of the afternooon.

I think the best part of the day was after Nojah was tucked into bed he snuck out of his room, ran over and gave me a great big hug and said "Thanks mom" "Thank you for taking me to Guatemala and thank you for everything you do for me"
"I LOVE YOU"

We love you too buddy! You are really growing up. Couldn't ask for a better little boy! (uh, big boy)

Seriously 9? That can't be right..............

How is it that he is going to be 9?
What's the cause of this growing up business?
