What girls do when left home alone

We took a little bit of this.............


and gave each other tattoo's that looked something like these...........

and had a great time doing it.

Lex has been begging intermittently for over a year to do henna tattoo's. I bought some for her while Nojah and I were in Bangladesh last year and it's taken me this long to whip it out. Yes I am ashamed of myself, but today happened to be the perfect day, boys are gone, I am recovering from a icky sinus infection and there was nothing better to do than sit around and wait for it to dry.

On a side note: Please excuse the not so cute, malformed toes, non-pedicured foot in the last photo, i was just blessed with ugly feet! Thank goodness I have Lex to fix that!

1st AAU tournament

Tob has had the pleasure of coaching the majority of Nojah's 6th grade class this year for AAU. His initial intentions were to get these kids into 4 or 5 tournaments for the year, but that was before he was hired as the JV high school coach. In addition to the high school commitment, he had a few boys unable to commit to some of the tournaments and things just sort of fell apart. However the majority of the boys and Lexy kept practicing 2 nights a week and this weekend we were able to take them to their first tourney. We were missing 2 kids that initially practiced with us and picked up one the week before and one the day of the games. They had 4 games in 2 days, improving with each game and winning their last game and taking 7th place.

The kids all get along great and are a fun group to watch play.

We are looking forward to another tournament in March, which would be great because these kids have a lot of talent, but definitely need some time on the court and other teams to play.

Alexyss Chamberlain in the 8-10 year old division in the 2012 Anthony Lakes Beach Party Hula Hoop contest.

and

Nojah Chamberlain who took 1st in musical beach towels and both kids won brand new helmets for their tenacious efforts.

her first bloody nose, that she was very proud of. That's my girl!

I learned kids are never to old for slides, especially ones that shoots you out like a rocket.

and of course the reason we drive 2 hours every weekend to enjoy this little piece of heaven. Snowboarding and skiing on beautiful blue bird days overlooking miles of both Oregon and Idaho. Doesn't get any better than this!
