She has been waiting patiently for a some well deserved girl time and finally got it. This weekend we left town with one of Alexyss' girlfriends and her mom to do some playing, shopping and swimming. We had such a good time. I have to admit this is the first time that I have taken one of my children "real" school shopping. I normally order on line, and yes I know that's sad but, it's easier. I wasn't real impressed with the selections but we got a lot of laughs out of the experience. Lex was able to catch up with her friend from school and I made a new one. I wish I would have taken pictures but unfortunately I was relaxing and enjoying myself so much I couldn't even break out the camera.

"Real" school shopping--that's funny. When I was a kid I loved it! Highlight of my year probably. ;) As an adult mother--ugh! They always wanted the full priced stuff and I couldn't afford it. We didn't do a lot of "official" shopping. I never really understood the need for a lot of new clothes if the old ones still fit! A couple or three outfits sure, but an entire wardrobe because it's September? Me too! Me too! Sign me up.
Anyhoo, I'm glad you had a good time, spent time with Alexyss and made a new friend. Good times. That's a cute picture of Lex too. Love it!
