Got Smoothie?



This is about the time of year we start making daily smoothies. Our favorite for sure is mixed-berry. These are highly recommended by our family (and the neighbor children).

2- 6oz Lucerne (light) yogurt Passion Orange Pineapple (you can use any flavor of course but this is a fave)
1-cup frozen blackberries (Your choice of frozen fruit combinations)
1-cup frozen blueberries
1-cup frozen raspberries
2-6oz cups of apple juice (just fill up the yogurt cup twice and pour in)
1-2 tablespoons of wheat germ (optional for increased folic acid, & a little fiber) or protein powder if you would like.

If too thick add more apple juice and less if too thin. This makes enough for a family of 4. I just use the yogurt containers for cups for the kids to keep down the dishes and recycle them when I am done.

So there you have it! Throw it in a blender and enjoy! Great way to get your fruit in for the day!

By the way this photo is not staged, this is what Nojah looks like each and every time he drinks a smoothie. We're working on that :-)

Yum..I know these are good. BTW, Nojah looks awesome with his hair cut. How did you manage that? Love all you guys. We had fun in Portland. Mom
