It finally hit me!!
Well, Tob and the kids have been sick on and off as everyone else in the U.S. since Christmas and I was so proud of my incredible immune system that hasn't let me down until NOW. You know how you usually just wake up with a cold? I was working the other night and the cold just came on right before my eyes. It was awful. I started sneezing, then had an itchy throat, then coughing, my nose started running and when I got off of work I had full blown cold. It was amazing to watch that develop in a matter of 13 hours. Anyway I am just sitting here today thinking about needing to go for a bike ride. I have been training for a triathlon coming up June 21st. I have wanted to do it the past couple of years and haven't been able to or just chickened out or whatever but this year I promised Sandy I would just do it and signed up (and I am really excited about it). I am planning to shatter the record as Lewis did above. Swimming has been my struggle due to lack of pool in the area but I have gone to LG to swim some. This weekend I have a mountain bike race in Idaho that I am trying to prepare for but I can't seem to motivate myself to go ride with freezing temps, snow on the ground, working nights, and being sick. Yuck! Oh well, if I lose I have heard it's a fun coarse. Nojah and Lex are signed up to do the kids race so hopefully they will step out of their little cute shells and just go for it. I heard they do a great job with the little ones to make it a lot of fun for them. I am going to bribe them with Chuck E Cheese in Boise!
I think we will head to Boise Saturday afternoon to go visit Tausha and Derek for the night! It'll be a great week! Only 3 more nights of work. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!! Hope everyone has a great week and cross your fingers for some SUNSHINE! I love the snow but I am ready for the sun!

umm, yeah, I wouldn't want to go out in the cold either. But, it'll be worth it if you do... As for snow- we just got more here this morning too. Uh, I want summer to come soo badly too! It will be here soon. Good luck with work, your hours stink!
Which triathlon are you doing? The Solstice? I was looking at the Pacific Crest site (on the Oregon Triathlon calendar) and it looks like they messed up cuz the Pacific Crest Triathlon's official site says it's the 27-29th. The only reason I've gone into this much detail is because someone who is going to go to the triathlon is 'loaning' me their home for the weekend of the wedding...
