Where are the toilets? A phrase we may need for our next trip, especially traveling with Lex! We have been planning this trip since we got home from Thailand in 2006, however the destination has changed numerous times for numerous reasons. I am very excited to say that we have chosen to go to Guatemala for 5 weeks. I wish we had longer but really I can't complain. Our tickets are booked and there is NO turning back! We have chosen this destination for it's ancient Mayan culture, natural wonders, outdoor adventures, festivals & markets and we leave in 96 days! Ahh, it seems like forever when I count it in days. Although this does mean we only have 96 days to learn Spanish. Rosetta Stone here we come. Wish us luck!!

You are so adventurous. Guatemala. Doesn't even have the ring of any appeal for me. I am such a homebody! Although... Francisco wants us to travel to Ecuador with them. I guess I'll have to let you know if we decide to do that so you can decide if you want to go there with us!
I would love to go to Ecuador!! That would be SO much fun. Come to think of it where wouldn't I love to go. We actually were very close to going to Peru, however that time of year is their rainy season and backpacks + Kids + Rain and Mud x 5 weeks didn't = Fun. New Zealand is out for this trip although there is talk of next year Tob and I ditching the kids and doing a couple weeks there. Maybe 2 years from now. It's expensive. Anyway, we are really excited to go to Guatemala and Alexyss has learned her new phrase and keeps practicing diligently. Funny little thing.
