This last week has been busy with Halloween parties, carving pumpkins, baking, parent teacher conferences, work and among other things, throwing up. I am now re-cooping from barfing the past 24hrs so I am not into writing a lot but I'll share a few pictures with some captions.
Toby took the kids trick or treating Halloween night since I had to work. They were accompanied by the neighbors, so we have 5 star wars characters and Miss Hannah Montana.
After getting the gang out the door it was my turn to get ready for work! My co-workers and I dressed up in vintage nursing uniforms for work which was a lot of fun. Some of our elderly patients didn't even realize we were dressed up. Too funny. It was a great night and the dress was actually fairly comfortable!
Here is Lex's pumpkin that she carved. Nojah's turned out blurry in the pictures but looked really cute.
Dinner in a PumpkinOne of the days I helped out at school the first grade class had dinner in a pumpkin for lunch. It was SO yummy that I got the recipe from the teacher and we made it for dinner one night as well. Ok so I am back off to the couch for the rest of the evening! I've been great at holding it down all day!
Hope everyone is having a good Sunday and enjoying their kids candy :0)

I love the picture of your mom and dad. Was that in Oakland? LA? The halloween costumes are a hoot. Something about Hannah Montana being in-between all those Star Wars characters--Princess Leia gone awry... The dressing up as nurses looked great too. That is so funny that the older crowd didn't get it. What exactly is dinner in a pumpkin? The picture looks more like what you've been doing all day. Sorry. But it's hard to tell what's in that pumpkin! And, finally, why are you barfing? ...? And yes, we would love to have you come visit. December is probably better. Maybe Tim and I can just rearrange our days off. We'll have to plan some fun things to do. You'll have to help us go and get a Christmas tree. At a farm. That'll be new and different for your kids! Ha ha ha.

They were married in Oakland Temple. Yes I agree that dinner in a pumpkin looks like puke, however it is pretty yummy. It appears I have already lost the recipe but it has ground beef, onion, rice, water chestnuts, etc and is cooked in the pumpkin until it is tender. Then you can scape the side of the pumpkin for your veggie. I was amazed that all but one first grader tried it and at least 75% liked it, some had seconds. Why am I barfing? Well I'm NOT pregnant I can tell you that! I think it's just an icky 24 hour bug that someone so kindly shared with me. We would love to come visit in December! I will mark the time off on my calendar! I am so excited to come see you guys and the kids will love the farm :0)
So sorry to hear you have been sick. YUK! I miss not seeing you guys @ football! Gonna go and do a quick post now. Tata
It's fun to see your parents looking so young!
Love the Halloween costumes - go Hannah Montana!
We too love dinner in a pumpkin. The older kids don't care for the pumpkin so much but the younger ones like it, as do I. Yummy!
Hope you are feeling better.
