This weekend a friend and I took our boys on a overnight backpacking trip into the wilderness. The boys were quite the troopers packing their gear 7 miles in and then out again. We had a wonderful time visiting while the boys explored and played. Here are a few pics from the trip.

A group photo after we were packed up and ready to go.If it weren't for the mosquito's I think we could have just lived up there, however we were running out of deet and had to return to civilization. We had a great time with our friends and will miss them dearly when they leave. Now it is time for some Lexy, mama time. She has been planning it since I arrived back home.

No way! I think I backpacked up to that same exact place with my Dad a few years back! We camped right off of Mirror Lake and I totally remember the awesome waterfall on the trail up. Our trip was actually quite memorable because there was a freak rain/snow storm that week so we spent most of the camping trip wrapped up in our sleeping bags inside our tents! Hope you had better luck!

You ae a totally awesome woman and mom...I am so proud of you. It looks like you had a great time. Tell NOjah how proud I am of him. He is becoming a little man! What a great experience at nine! It looks beautiful there...but you never did say who you went with. Love Mom
Wow. Gorgeous! (I am referring to BOTH the scenery and Myah's makeup job.) Tell Nojah I am VERY impressed with his ability to hike in so far. I really do wish I could hike. I have a feeling that my back would give out right near the top and then I'd be left there by everyone due to my whining... So, what are you going to do with Lexy??? I still want to get together in October--save some time! I wish Em and Sarah's family's could come too. Aaagh! I hate how everyone lives so far away. Stinks.
I guess I'd better include Jeff too. I'm a terrible mother... :(
