This weekend my parents camped at our house. They pulled their trailer into our driveway and spent 2 nights. We went for a hike up to Slick rock falls. It was the perfect day for it too. Then we briefly hit the annual flea market on the way home and sipped on some lemonade. Tob tried to score a Foosball table at a yard sale but the prized item had already been sold.
Then yesterday morning Tob awakened early and went to run an annual 10k they do here for the rotary. He was pretty amazing to say the least. His goal was 42 min (7 min miles) and finished in 40 minutes (6:30 min miles). Pretty impressive. This is Lex giving him congrats hugs. I think he would have rather had these from the ground. He looked kinda tired.
After cheering Tob on for the run we headed back home for the annual parade. It was pretty cute. My favorite was a little boy who pedaled his little john deer tractor all the way down the street towing a chicken in a cage. After the parade the kids and grandpa went fishing in the pool the ODFW brought full of trout. Nojah respectively caught 2 fish and Lex had all the little boys fishing for her and scored 2 as well out of the deal. Then we had the annual duck races down the irrigation ditch (I won $20 this year). After the duck races we headed home, my parents packed up and Tob BBQ the trout. During the process Lex asked where her fish was and when Tob said on the BBQ she went into hysterics....................OOPs guess she really did want to keep it in the bag. Oh but they were tasty.

Good times! That's great that your parents camped at your house. And congrats on all the prizes. (Hopefully Lex will soon forgive you for eating her prize.)
I would love to go to a parade in your neck of the woods. They probably don't last as long and sound way more entertaining! I love the John Deere and the chicken in a cage... so cute! I guess Alexyss didn't quite understand the whole fish thing. She must be a 'catch and release' type of girl--or maybe just a 'catch and keep 'em in a bag!'
