It's pretty crazy, every year we have been to the beach party up at Anthony it has been gorgeous! I think they have pretty much nailed it down to the best weekend in February. This year we brought along our nephew Isaac who was super excited for a day on the hill and we were super excited to have him.
Our little hula queen is reigning champion for 2 years in a row. Unfortunately I went up to the lodge real quick to shed layers and missed the whole event. The judge said she finally had to make her and the other girl jump up and down and turn around because it was lasting forever. It didn't seem like that to me.....since I missed. Anyway she won and was able to pick out of the prize bucket and chose a pretty cool Dakine Bag. She also participated in the luge race on inner tubes again, but I missed that too because I was snowshoeing with the dog. Sounds like she had another awesome crash though. Maybe it's better I wasn't watching....
As you can see by the pictures the kids had a plethora of friends at the mountain as did I which made it just that more fun!
Tina, Korrie and I took Barley out for an afternoon hike on our snowshoes. It was absolutely amazing weather and Barley enjoyed the freedom as he had been tied up to the back of the car watching the events unfold all morning and unable to participate. When we arrived at the lodge he did take off and found friends at the BBQ who thought he was adorable, fed him and most importantly stroked his curly soft fur. :-) He was very pleased with himself and pleased with the new friends he made.
