This year we were invited to join my biological family for a reunion at the beach. Everyone is pretty spread out from Western OR, UT, AZ, and Eastern OR so we were lucky to have it all work out. I have over 300 pictures of randomness however I will spare you and share only a few :-)

This is Sarah's oldest girl Olivia, her and Lex are both busy little creatures and I think Lex enjoyed having her own little follower while we were there.
The kids and I spent some time at the beach flying kites and rolling in the sand until dark one night and then headed out the next morning for some more play time. Even though it's cold and windy the kids can't resist and love being out there.
We went to a game park where we were able to hold baby tigers, lions, and caracals. The kids loved it, as well as the adults of course. I have posted more pictures on facebook as well, of the event. My mom and grandma took me there when I was little and have pictures of me holding a baby leopard.
Lex and Nojah holding the 7 week old lion cubs. After the one on one time I was able to come out saying "I have been bit by a lion."
On Sunday afternoon, we went to honeyman state park and played in the sand and did a little pedal boating, which is a good workout by the way.
Here's our crew. We have Emily and Lex pedaling, Francisco (em's husband) as our mermaid and then Promise and I sinking the back. We ditched Nojah with the other group mid lake to keep our boat afloat.
It was a quick trip but SO nice to really get to know everyone. Nojah's and Lex's highlights were playing card games and going to the beach. We left early Monday morning and headed up the beach and then home, taking 16 hours to get home. It was a long day but the kids were great. I can't wait to do it again, if they invite us back of course :-)

Thank you for posting this. I have yet to post anything about the reunion. Good intentions, but you know where those often lead. ...nowhere! ;)
I am so so so so so glad you were able to be there and of course, when we do it again you will be required, er, I mean invited to come. I am also glad you made the photo request. I always forget to do that until the end or usually after it's all over and too late! It's not the best of family photos but it proves we were all there together...in the wind and the cold. ;)
What a fun reunion! That petting zoo looks amazing.
It is so fun to see you all ogether. You are all so lucky to have a great relationship. I am proud of you. What a beautiful family (not quite as beautiful as ours though ;-))...I do envy the body shape of the women...some things in this life just aren't fair. For just one day I think you all should know what it is like to be short and round and I get to feel what it is like to be tall and slender...hmmmm.
beautiful pics Dawn! I'm glad you guys could come and we could get to know you better. I still have yet to meet Toby.. some day ;)
So you asked how I got my pics big on my blog. It was a little complicated and it was to do with the code... but if you'd like I could write a tutorial about it. I have to mess with the code for each blog. Kind of annoying- but once you know how to do it- it only takes a few minutes.
