Photo courtesy of Wallowa Valley OnlineWell, so much for my post a little earlier today. Looks like the forest service won't be hiring me anytime soon. Within minutes of publishing my last post Toby's real office went up in flames. He was just getting back into town and luckily wasn't there at the time. These photo's I imagine were taken early on. The building burned hot and fast and from Tob's report is a total loss and has collapsed to the ground. I am just sick to my stomach thinking about everything these guys will have to go through the next several months to get things back up and running, especially right at the start of the true fire season. Tob was stationed with his engine between the best western and the forest service building to ensure the fire didn't spread but is on his way home now, so I had better get some food ready for my starving firefighter.
