On February 1st I was enticed to set some goals for the month with my wonderful friend Kiley as inspiration. What's worse then me actually writing down goals for all to see was she said she would hold me accountable, which I thought was a good thing at the time. What's even worse is at the bottom of her blog entry on March 1st she did indeed hold me accountable and asked "That’s it for me. Dawn – how did you do?!!" Thinking things really couldn't get any worse they did. I couldn't remember what all my goals were and had to go back and look. Yes, it's true and I am embarrassed and felt the need to confess now.
So below are my goals written word for word on Kiley's blog on Feb 1st.........
"I have a lot of goals but I should narrow them down to just 2 or 3. First Plan a weekly menu on Sunday every week in Feb and stick with it. (we have done that before and you have inspired me to do it again). 2nd Blog at least once a week. (I have been bad at it). 3rd list our snowboarding gear on Ebay and get our extra stuff sold that we don't need. (I have been putting this off) and 4th one ab workout weekly. There's a few for February, make sure you hold me to them :-)"
I bet it's not going to be hard to figure out how things went, but let me tell you just in case you were wondering.....
1. Plan a weekly menu on Sunday every week in Feb and stick with it.
We did sit down as a family and plan at least 3/4 of the week twice, however with life in the way I think we followed it strictly for two nights (out of the month). I may give it another shot but I am not sure with our jobs, kids sports, coaching, living in a very rural area, that it will work for us right now.....Those aren't excuses by the way, I'm just sayin.....
2.Blog once a week.
I think I blogged about every 10 days does that count? (how many days are in a week) and if I blogged twice today does that mean I met my goal because I will catch up?
3. List extra snowboarding gear on ebay.
Uh, Negative ghost-rider. Didn't even get the gear out.
4. One ab workout weekly.
Seriously how hard is this? I am embarrassed to say I did not attempt one ab workout the entire month.
So I have confessed and I think for March I will set one goal and one goal only and see 1st if I can remember what it was at the end of the month and 2nd if I actually accomplished it :-) So here I am putting myself out there in a vulnerable spot yet again......
March Goals:
Incorporate Squats, Lunges, planks, abs, and jump-roping into just ONE workout per week. I know this isn't unreasonable. Maybe I will start today :-)
There you are Kiley, my results for February's goals.

I so get it! Sometimes the remembering of the goals, is just as hard!!!
My problem is I see all my faults and all that I need to change and set too many goals. I like your idea of setting one, that you can remember and accomplish. Think I will do the same.
Sorry I haven't even check your blog...so much for me holding you accountable!! Hey...no worries, but seriously, this month YOU BETTER DO IT ;) Write it down & hang it up in your bathroom (somewhere you KNOW you will see it!) You're awesome Dawn
